How-To Halloween: Rock Star

Halloween is the best time to bust out your bright makeup and let out your inner rock star.  With just a few bold, metallic shades of makeup, you’ll be ready to rock out all night.

Use an eye primer to keep your dark shadow in place. After you have covered your entire lid, apply a deep purple eyeshadow to the outer corners of your eyes. Extend the line into your crease and blend well. Then, apply a silver metallic shadow to the middle of your eyelid. Pat the color into your eye gently, and pack the pigment into the area.

Next, apply a thick line of liquid eyeliner to your top lash line. Flick it out slightly at the end for an edgy look.

Using a black eyeliner pencil, line your waterline. Remember to sharpen the pencil before you apply so you can avoid any contaminants. Follow with two coats of a volumizing black mascara.

Apply a natural blush to your cheeks and blend well. To put the look over the top, dust a shimmery silver powder over your cheekbones.

Finally, it’s time for the lips. Line your lips with a dark berry pencil. Then, fill in your lips with a lipstick that is about two shades lighter. This will define your lips and give you a rockin’ pout. Purse your lips a few times to blend the liner with the lipstick.

Top off your look with a wild hair-do. Have fun with it! Apply a styling paste for spikey, messy ends or use a thickening hair spray and tease out your tresses to really turn up the volume.

Next, pick out your favorite rock star outfit. The more spikes, rhinestones and leather, the better. Have fun and don’t forget to rock out.
