Goes on smooth. Has a nice sheen. I use it by itself, or under or over chapstick. I have the 'flirt' tinted one. Darker shades make my lips look thinner so this shade is perfect for me. I've also had the un-tinted a number of times.

I first sent this product to my daughter for her birthday and after hearing how nice it was from her I decided to order one for myself. I am almost 90 years old and do not like bright lipsticks so this suits me perfectly ! It feels good on my lips and the hint of color is just right. i would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys a subtle hint of color on her lips.

Although I like the feel of the ' long lasting' Jane Iredale lipstick, it doesn't last very long at all so I used the lip pencil hoping that it would help the lipstick stay on for a longer time. The lip pencil doesn't go on smoothly, it's a bit drying but it does help (just a little) with keeping some color on my lips( but not for much longer). I don't understand why other companies can make lipsticks that really do stay on all day and a company like Jane Iredale can't. I really like their products but the lip line is a disappointment.

I read the description for the Beyond Matte Lip Stain and immediately was impressed! So, I made the purchase. It was moist and blended well when applied. The color stayed even though I have a habit of trying to eat lipstick off. I've added Lip Stain to my purchase list.

I really like the texture of this lip crayon and love the color I chose. The only thing the product lacks is a sharpener that fits the crayon. I couldn't find a sharpener that was offered by the brand and none off brand either. The size of the crayon is peculiar to the brand and just a bit larger than other sharpeners so it makes it difficult to maintain an appropriate end. I would like to purchase more of the crayons in different colors, or at least replace this one when it is spent, but I won't until a sharpener is available.
