expensive Vaseline - horrible
I have very dry, rosacean, sensitive skin. I returned this after using it twice. It has a VERY greasy texture, exactly like rubbing Vaseline all over my face. You definitely cannot wear makeup on top of it because it just slides right off of it. Awful stuff.

Works great for my teenage daughter
My 16 year old daughter has some acne and uses prescription acne treatments which can really dry out her skin. She uses this at night to help alleviate the flakes of skin she gets from using these treatments. She will also apply it to her skin, then use a dry wash cloth to gently exfoliate her face.

Great staple moisturizer
This a basic, but great staple to have. This was perfect after a ski vacation that left my face red, raw and chapped. It saves my hands every winter from the effects of over washing and the dry, cold winters. I always keep this in my stockpile.

Its greasy for my liking but its an excellent moisturizer. I only use it at night. Very simple ingredients, petroleum jelly and paraffin, which are great moisturizer and skin softener.. It works.

Not For Me
I bought this moisturizer to repair my skin after using a disasterous BHA product. I had been using vaseline over damp skin (with great results), but wanted something a little more elegant. I had high hopes for this, but sadly, it doesnt work for me. It was fine for a couple of nights, but on the third morning, I woke up to about 6 whiteheads. My skin is pretty clog-prone and breaks out from so many things. I will probably use the rest for my hands and feet.

Didnt work for me
After reading many rave reviews of this product, I had to try it for my sensitive, clog-prone, combination skin. But unfortunately, it is not the answer to my finicky skin. I hate the way it remains greasy feeling on my skin, even though I apply a tiny amount to damp skin, according to the directions. But despite the greasiness, I still have dry flaky skin. And on top of that, it clogged my skin, causing a few bad pimples, and irritated it, making it a bit redder than usual.

amazing!
i like the convenience of the tube so i can keep it in my purse...i will never be without this. my hands get severely dry and cracked due to being in water all day at work, not to mention the midwestern winters! this immediately soothes my skin and is perfect to apply under gloves before going outside. if nothing else works for you, try this! i have the lotion too and thats great since it sinks in quickly. this is more of a balm.

Very Happy
I use this product twice daily. I live in MN and the winters here are awful. Very dry and very cold. I use this on top all other products (lotion, vitamin C serum, prescriptions. Essentially this is the last thing on before tinted sunscreen. A little goes a long way. I use maybe a pea size if not smaller. I was worried about breakouts but my skin has stayed clear. It feels supple and not tight or dry. The trick is to apply when your face is still moist from either a H2O spritz, or from your other moisturizer. I would not call this a moisturizer. IT essentially is a barrier. Its made from petroleum and wax. Not at all like vasaline. Rub between fingers on your palm and it will melt beautifully and go one nicely. Blot with a cotton pad. Will use in the winter and fall. Not sure about summer yet. Oh- I have rosecia so this is a nice barrier to preventing wind burn or redness.

The Best Moisturizer Ever!
I just can not say enough about this product. It works instantly and well for dry skin. It has a silky feeling and a little goes a long way. It lasts all day too! good, but understand what you are buying
this is basically vaseline, so for the price, maybe not such a great deal. that said, you get 2 bottles for the price and it can last you a long time. in my opinion, eltamd is a gold standard in facial products. this does not disappoint. recommended to me for post ipl moisturization, it has become a go-to for extra hydration overnight during the winter and during the day ay my super dry office. it only take a little - warm it up between your hands and pat on. can be used on face and body and is also good on scabs.
