Don’t let the .25 deceive you
…because this formulation does the trick. Have returned to this product which I kept in steady rotation a few years ago. Even after one treatment, my skin looked better in the morning. I tried once to move up to the .5, but couldn’t handle the flaking/peeling. Even at .25 I am working my way up from 3 applications a week. Potent yet gentler by far than any retinol treatment I’ve tried whether Rx or drug store. Bonus: over time this retinol product eliminates milia. Excellent skin clearing properties.

I’m going to give SkinMedica 25% retinal five stars and if I could give it more I would give it more. I can use this product every single day because I am 54 years old however they don’t always recommend it to the majority of people but if use the 25% you can and let me say my skin is flawless and it’s all because of this product!! A Necessary Addition to Skincare
I have 70 year old skin, and have been using retinol for several years now. This retinol seems stronger than others I have used. I did get some irritation on my neck, so I am now using it every other night on my neck. It may be a little soon to say this is better than other retinols, but I am pleased with it thus far. I also like the additional ingredients that SkinMedica has added to their formula, the PhytoShield Complex, which is an antioxidant complex. I decided it was time to try this brand and this product, being that it generally gets rave reviews from its users. I would encourage others to try the SkinMedica Age Defense Retinol Complex.

I started using the Retinol 0.25 complex with the SkinMedica TNS Advanced + Serum system. I’ve worked my way up to 3 times a week. I do have some peeling and irritation as expected.
