Probably will not buy again
I love the creamy consistency of this product but it does seem to sting my face a little, even after following with good moisturizer. I have used Replenix Retinol 10x for years and it never has given me any problems, although the consistency on that product is not as nice.

Effective Retinol!
I use this 2 - 3x per week and it still makes me peel! It's just a superficial peel which I don't mind at all and my skin is bright and baby smooth. I probably don't use it enough to get adjusted, but I like to alternate with glycolic acid products as well. I find mixing it with a drop or 2 of water helps it spread a little easier as it's a thick lotion and I don't like to "tug" my skin. I've tried many, MANY retinols/retinals in the last few years and this is the only one that gives me visible results so I keep coming back to it. I have both the .5 and the 1.0 and I stick with the 1.0 now and deal with a little peeling now and then. It's well worth it!

The SkinMedica Retinol Complex 1.0 is a concentrated cream that works well for me to encourage cell turnover, fade dark spots and minimize fine lines. I usually apply a moisturizer at the same time and this cuts down on excessive flaking. Using this I strategy, I can apply the product every other night before bed. I may increase the strength but have been using the 1.0 concentration for some time. And I use sunscreen during the day!!! Highly recommend!

This retinol works well and is not as harsh as some because of the emollient in its formula. Word of caution...if you are not used to a retinol, be sure to start with the .25 or .5 strength and work your way up to 1.0

I absolutely love this product! Not only is it highly effective to use on your face, it is actually an excellent cream for your neck! After applying it on my neck at night, I noticed a difference in deep wrinkles and texture the next morning! I use it every other night because it is extremely drying. After application, I wait 15 minutes to penetrate into the skin, then I apply my face oil, to prevent dryness.
