I have been using the .5 SkinMedica retinol daily and had reached the place where I could use a stronger product. I attempted to use it every day initially but it burns and reddens my face. I will have to build up a tolerance for daily use. It did cause my skin to flake from three days of back to back use. I am satisfied with this product and will continue to use it.

It's the perfect Retinol
I am 58 years old and have mature skin with a little sun damage. I have only been using this retinol for a little over a week. Every two days and it suits me nicely. It doesn't burn or irritate my skin. It makes it feel tighter. I have been following it with the skin medica dermal repair. I believe it's a nice combo. Also the skin medica tns eye repair. It truly it's making my skin feel soft as well.

I love SkinMedica; however, this product did not respond well to my skin. I have always used a tretinoin (which is strong), but my face was very sensitive and very red, so I thought I will give this a try. Looking back, I should have probably started off with the .5 rather than the 1.0. Ultimately, I switched up my skincare routine with other products.

No difference between the .5 and 1
I have used the .5 before and I liked it. Than I ordered this one and I expected visible results. I did not see any extra improvement in my skin tone. If anything, this almost feels weeker than the .5. I am not sure I will repurchase this one again but I do really like the milder formula.

I went from the .5 to this 1.0 strength Retinol by SkinMedica and the results were huge! I made a mistake and applied this after using a new toner and I got burn on my neck. That’s kind of embarrassing for now, but hopefully I’ll heal soon. This does cause a great deal of peeling
