bad smell
I tried this moisturizer for the first time after LovelySkin sent me a sample. I loved the sample, so ordered the regular size. I just used it for the first time a week ago, and found that when I apply it, there is an unpleasant smell. The only way I can describe it is that it smells like cooking oil when it goes bad. I don't think I can return it, so am disappointed.

Moisturizer good, pump bad
I've bought this multiple times and love the moisturizer. Usually the pump works fine, but this time it doesn't. I contacted LovelySkin, who told me how to fix it (bang it on a table and then cover the hole while pumping). That gives me enough for 1 pump. But the next time I go to use it, I have to repeat the steps again. It definitely makes me less inclined to want to use it. It's a shame because the moisturizer is perfect for me. :(

A little disappointed
I’ve used various Obagi products over the last 30 years and have been quite happy with all of them. I can’t say the same about Obagi Hydrate Facial Moisturizer. I was hoping to use this moisturizer both AM and PM but I have found this product to be way too thick and greasy to use in the morning. I have no problem using it at night when I go to bed. It really moisturizes my entire face and neck well over night resulting in a my skin being nicely plump and moisturized when I wake up. I’m going to have to start a new search for a moisturizer for morning.

The Obagi hydrate facial moisturizer is my new everyday favorite moisturizer . Feels good, not greasy, when you apply. It also doesn’t really have a scent which I like. I use this every morning and use the Obagi Hydrate Luxe at night.

Reliable moisture
I continue coming back to this moisturizer because it has a great feel, soaks right into my skin, and keeps my dry skin comfortable all day. I use Obagi Hydrate fairly consistently and when I want something richer I use Obagi Hydrate Luxe. When my skin is especially dry, I also use an oil.
