Watch this Halloween makeup tutorial to find out how you can become Bambi this year.

Halloween How-to: Bambi

Video Summary

If you’re a contouring queen, this is the Halloween costume for you. With just a few basic makeup products and twigs from your backyard, you can transform into a doe-eyed deer by following this makeup tutorial.

To begin, apply your favorite makeup base and concealer to even out your skin tone. Next, use a foundation like the Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation a few shades lighter than your skin tone and highlight from the end of your nose up to the top of your brows. Also add highlight around your eyes and on your cheek bones. Blend well with a makeup sponge.

Next, apply a peach blush to the apples of your cheeks and a dark bronzer to the hollows. Again, blend well. You won’t want any lines to show.

Apply white eyeshadow on the tip of your nose and blend upward. You want it to be really white, so really pack on the pigment.

Now it’s time for the details. Using a dark brown eye pencil, fill in your brows so they are thick slightly arched. Carry the color on your brows down your nose, outlining the white area on the end of your nose.

Using a black eye pencil, fill in the tip of your nose and down your nostrils to create a black snout.

Now that you have your nose ready, have fun with your eyes. Apply a white shadow to the entire lid and line the eyes with a black pencil. Carry the black pencil down the inner corner to create a point. Line your bottom lid with a thick white eyeliner. Finish your eyes with two coats of volumizing mascara or your favorite part of false lashes.

Finally, use a white eyeliner to draw small white dots high on your cheeks and across your forehead. Then, apply a matte nude lip color to finish the look.

Put your hair in a messy updo and stick some twigs in your hair, or throw on an antler headband you can find at any Halloween retailer. Wear your favorite outfit in shades of brown and beige and you’ll be ready to prance through the night.
