I use the non-tinted version and it provides a natural glow upon which any concealer (around eyes) or minimal powder foundation can be applied without a problem. I have used both the tinted and untinted EltaMD UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF46 Facial Sunscreen for many years now. The sunscreen doesn’t cause breakouts or make my rosacea worse. In fact, I feel the niacinamide ingredient helps both issues. The tinted formula is great when you just need a little coverage and the untinted I uses under foundation.

I have sensitive, acne-prone skin, and this does not irritate it. I used the untinted version, and it blended better than I expected. I wish that the Clear version came in SPF 30 instead of 46. To me though, while I didn’t feel that it was at all greasy like normal sunscreen, it felt a bit heavy for my skin and more like something that I would use before a long day in the sun versus one that I would comfortably wear every day.

I was reluctant to use this sunscreen for a long time, thinking I really liked the one I used to use. But once I tried it, the Untinted one, I liked it immediately. It goes on very nicely, absorbs quickly, and leaves zero white casting or lines, not even all day in the outdoors in the tropics. I wish the SPF would be a bit higher, but then again, it might feel different and wear different. Anyway, it is a wonderful sunscreen for the face, neck and décolleté.
