I have used both the tinted and untinted EltaMD UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF46 Facial Sunscreen for many years now. The sunscreen doesn’t cause breakouts or make my rosacea worse. In fact, I feel the niacinamide ingredient helps both issues. The tinted formula is great when you just need a little coverage and the untinted I uses under foundation.

I have sensitive, acne-prone skin, and this does not irritate it. I used the untinted version, and it blended better than I expected. I wish that the Clear version came in SPF 30 instead of 46. To me though, while I didn’t feel that it was at all greasy like normal sunscreen, it felt a bit heavy for my skin and more like something that I would use before a long day in the sun versus one that I would comfortably wear every day.

I was reluctant to use this sunscreen for a long time, thinking I really liked the one I used to use. But once I tried it, the Untinted one, I liked it immediately. It goes on very nicely, absorbs quickly, and leaves zero white casting or lines, not even all day in the outdoors in the tropics. I wish the SPF would be a bit higher, but then again, it might feel different and wear different. Anyway, it is a wonderful sunscreen for the face, neck and décolleté.

I have both the tinted and untinted versions of this sunscreen. It has a very lightweight, silky texture and absorbs quickly - not greasy at all! I use the tinted on days I don't wear foundation and the untinted on days that I do. I need to use a facial primer before my foundation but that works fine for me. I have used EltaMD UV Sheer Broad Spectrum SPF 50 prior to and liked it, but I decided to give this one a try based on the high review ratings. I found that this product has a consistency that is a bit thicker and heavier than the other. It is also transparent on the face. Once I continue to use it more I can make a better judgement of which one I like better.

I got the tinted version of this in hopes to use it as an every day, natural look, make up. It doesn't really provide coverage, but it does give you a super healthy glow in a non greasy way!
