Gentle sunscreen
EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 Sunscreen is a great all around sunscreen that is gentle on the skin and does not irritate around the eye area like many sunscreens do. This product goes on smoothly and provides moisturizing sunscreen that lasts all day and does not flake or go on white. EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 Sunscreen comes in a tinted version as well, but I prefer the untinted version as it does not stain my shirt collars. The only draw back to this product is that it gets a little shiny towards the end of the day, but it washes off easily and your skin is left very soft so that is a minor flaw.

I love this sunscreen! It feels like silk going on, has niacinamide (an excellent ingredient for your skin), leaves no white-cast and is less expensive than many other sunscreens that don't work as well. My teenage son also uses this and it doesn't make his skin break out. The only time I don't use it is when I'll be running or swimming, since it isn't sweat or water resistant.

White Cast
I had such a great experience using the tinted version of this, I decided to give this untinted version a try. The white cast is obvious. It stays white hours after applying. It is utterly incomprehensible to me how so many people could have possibly had a positive experience with this product. Somehow this version is also less creamy than the tinted version, and it gets streaky when it dries down unless I'm super careful when I apply using *just* the right strokes. So exhausting. Why does SPF have to be so difficult? I cannot use this on my face. I will use up the bottle on my neck and hands, and will not repurchase.

I only wish this came in a larger container. This has become my very favorite sunscreen. It's light and not greasy and does not break me out. During the Summer, this is enough to be a sunscreen and light moisturizer all in one. Such a great product!!

I have been using this product for several years now. It goes on easily and most importantly doesn’t have the usual sunscreen smell. I also find that it doesn’t bother my sensitive skin and doesn’t cause my rosacea to flare up. I recently convinced my husband to use it daily and he now loves it too. The price point is also good. I like the packaging because it’s a perfect size for travel (not too big but not too small). My only minor complaint is that there’s no way to tell when the product will run out. I try to keep a spare on hand so I don’t get caught without.
