I never wore sunscreen on my face because it either broke me out, made me greasy or left a white cast all over. But this is the holy grail! So happy I bought this sunscreen. I got the tinted one and helps my Rosacea cheeks. Would most deff purchase again

Best Sunscreen for Sunny Days
This is the sunscreen that you want to use during the spring and summer. I don’t mind a little tan on my white legs & arms; however, my face is off limits and when I use this sunscreen I know that the skin on my face is protected. This is my go-to sunscreen for the summer. It also stays out of my eyes.

I found I broke out after using this sunscreen. I’m not prone to breakouts like it states it helps either. But after using it a few different times I had the same thing happen every time and I wound up just tossing it.

OMG
I have tried dozens of SPFs and it's amazing to me how the overwhelming majority (99.9%) are terrible. They either pill, leave a white-cast, are too makeup-y, or irritating to the skin. I was very skeptical of this sunscreen because I've had bad experiences with other versions of this sunscreen in the past (despite the positive reviews), but this particular version works for me. Number 1, this does not pill when you apply it. That is such a deal breaker, because how am I going to leave the house with sunscreen flakes all over my face lookin all crazy, and it takes so much time to fix. Second, because this is tinted, it doesn't leave a white cast. But I don't want to look makeup-y. This tint could be more sheer. When I look in the mirror after it dries down, I don't think I look like I'm wearing makeup. But when I take a photo or go on zoom, yeah it looks kinda makeup-y. This is not great for guys, but it's more natural than geisha white. Please EltaMD make this more sheer! This does not irritate my skin, in fact it's actively calming which is a HUGE plus. All in all, there could be minor improvements to this sunscreen but it's THE best I've found.

I’m so happy I tried this sunscreen. I have sensitive, acne prone skin and every other sunscreen I’ve used has caused breakouts. Elta MD doesn’t leave my skin shiny or greasy feeling. It does seem to leave a slight white cast, but nothing drastic. I’ll be buying more.

Good sunblock, but too greasy for my skin
I'd been using EltaMD UV Shield Broad-Spectrum SPF 45 Oil-Free on my face and backs of hands for many years, recommended to me by the plastic surgeon who removed a very large pre-cancerous legion from the back of my hand. I'm in my 70's and have somewhat dry but sensitive skin and found it worked great for both applications, even on top of hyaluronic acid as well as moisturizer prior to application. It's recently been discontinued so tried EltaMD's untinted UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 Sunscreen instead. It may well be just me, but I found it to feel oily/greasy upon application and found the smell annoying, though others might not be troubled by it. The smell disappears over time but I found it to be off-putting. I'm moving on to trying other of EltaMD's sunscreens because I believe highly in the brand - this one just this one wasn't the right one for me.

I really like this sunscreen. It’s easy to apply it takes about two or three pumps To cover my entire face and it spreads well on skin. There is no unpleasant smell to it and it disappears easily as you smooth over facial skin. The coverage is very good and without greasy feel or heaviness. and I have had no adverse reactions.
