I purchased this because it is dimethicone-free and was a nice mid-level retinol. It doesn't disappoint. It goes on smoothly and I had no peeling at this level. Left my face smooth and supple. I can use it every night now with no irritation.

Too strong for me
This product has great ingredients but it was too strong for me. I've used retinol before and in higher percentages without issues but this product irritated my skin. I do have sensitive skin but I was surprised at how badly my skin reacted.

Gentle enough to use overnight
I usually get the retinol couples 1.0 but found I could only use 1 time a week. With the lower dose I use a few times a week. Mainly to lessen the appears of my enlarged pours above my lip area. My skin care go to is SkinMedica. I found that their product gives me the best results

I love Skinmedica products. I had used the .25 retinol and decided to try the .50 retinol. It absorbs well and does not feel greasy. I have sensitive, acne prone skin. About two days after application my face began peeling. I know that is what it's meant to do. It last a few days. So for now I am only using g this retinol once a week. Maybe I will eventually work my way up to the recommend usage.
