I have been using SkinMedica Retinol Complex 0.5 for over five years now. It was recommended by a dermatologist. At that time, I purchased it from her office. It has been the best thing I have done for my skin! A few months ago, a doctor had me remove my mask. She seemed shocked that my skin looked so good. She commented that I had beautiful skin. I am 66 years old. I try using it every night or every other. My skin can be a little sensitive. Just start off slowly. I then learned about LovelySkin. LovelySkin had a better price. Good stuff
I first started off with the 0.25% retinol as advised by a nice LovelySkin advisor. I'm glad I did. I liked the scentless, velvety texture, so two weeks ago, I transitioned to the 0.5%.This is definitely a tad stronger yet mild enough that it did not bother my sensitive skin. The texture is silky and lovely and the price point is just right. I have noticed a slight brightening effect in my skin, and I am happy about that. I use it in the pm and use Obagi 20% C serum in the am. I've yet to see results with fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and collagen production though, so I plan to continue using this retinol together with the Obagi C serum for another couple of months to see if it really works.

I use this product nightly and have started to see the results! As a black woman, I suffer from hyperpigmentation and uneven texture and I attribute this product and a SkinMedica cleanser to why my hyperpigmentation is now eroding and the texture of my skin is smoother. When using this product, I recommend having a good moisturizer, preferably with SPF, to combat the dryness and also protect the delicacy of your skin when using this product.

Amazing Retinol
This has become my new go-to retinol! I use on my face, décolletage, and hands. I’ve always been sensitive to retinol (redness & flaking), and my face/neck still has sensitivity to this, but I combine it with a mild plasma cream and now get results without the drawbacks. I also alternate nights with SkinCeuticals vit C & ferulic with no irritation. This also works well to improve the color, softness, and lines on my hands too
