Another Home Run
After using TNS Essential Serum original formula for a few years, I was beginning to think about searching for another brand. Enter TNS Advanced! Pleasant to use, lightweight, and seemingly effective. I do think my skin is looking smoother and firmer, and a small wrinkle below the corner of my mouth seems to be less deep. It's been only a couple of months or so since I made the switch to Advanced. I'm eager to see results at six months. Now, if they could only improve the delivery system so both sides dispense product evenly and consistently for the entire life of the bottle down to the last bit of serum!

Improved pump?
I’ve used the original tns serum before with good results. I find both versions help to refine skin texture. This one seems a bit less greasy to me? Also the pump works MUCH better than the original serum pump. I’ve realized the best way for me to use is do 1/2 a pump morning and night on damp skin. There is some control to the pump if you’re careful. This way less is waisted and hopefully it will last me longer? One full pump of the red serum morning and night lasted me only about 1 1/2 months. And during the day it was making me way too greasy. I use tretinoin and hydroquinone and find this serum reduces the days when my skin would be a peeling, red (embarrassing) disaster. I have oily, acne prone 41 yr old skin that finds a way to be oily and dry and peeling all at once. Most anti aging creams and serums break me out by the second week of use and I stop them. I’m so happy this doesn’t!! So I think it’s worth it. I enjoy the simplicity of just investing in one serum that does it all and works with my rx skin care. And hoping it will be effective enough to reduce the amount/frequency of Botox, etc. That would help justify the price.

I was so excited to try this out, and it’s fine at night, but I cannot put makeup on with this on my face because it pills. The original serum doesn’t do that. I chatted with customer service about returning, and she said I may be applying to much if it’s doing this, so I decided to give it another shot but using less. Unfortunately, that didn’t make a difference. If you’re not going to put makeup on, it’s fine, which is why I rated a three. I haven’t seen a difference over the original serum, but I have only been using this for two weeks, so maybe it’s just that more time is needed to see improvement. I love all of my other SkinMedica products and would highly recommend them, with the exception of this product for those who intend to put makeup over it.

I have been using the TNS Essential Serum for the last 2 years and I absolutely love it. I was nervous about trying this new formula because I have very sensitive, allergy- and acne-prone skin. I was delightfully surprised that I like it even more than the original and it seems more effective in calming redness and making my skin appear brighter and smoother. I know one of the major complaints about the original formula was the scent, but I actually think this new version's smell is even worse. I found it less bothersome after a few days, but it smells treacly like melted gummy bears and I try not to breathe through my nose while it's drying. Also, it's slightly tackier than the original, but it still absorbs nicely and blends under moisturizers and sunscreen without pilling. I will continue using this new formula because in the end it's highly effective and makes my skin look incredible.

Don’t Give Up on Dispensing Issues
First two times I used, only one side of the dual pump dispensed product. I removed the cover and cleaned the hole with a pin. Did the trick. Both pumps have dispensed product since. I use at night. While it is too early to tell how well this product works, I will review based on what I DO know. Firstly, there is not much serum for the price. I used a full pump, twice a day, and ran out in a couple weeks. Now wanting to give up, as the promises of firmer skin are so enticing, I purchased another bottle and and am trying to use smaller amounts. I do not like that the container is opaque, as it is impossible to tell when I am about to run out, which also displeases me. Thus, I put this on auto-refill, and will review based on my actual facial results in a couple of months. I remain optimistic...

Insane results
I’ve only been using this serum for about a week and a half, the results are insane! My main concern was sagging around the jaw and jowl area, and thought that there was nothing I could do besides surgery (which I’m really hesitant about ) .
